French presidential hopeful denies gay affair

 

Emmanuel Macron, the favourite in the French presidential race has been forced to deny he is having a gay affair.

The 39-year-old said that he had “nothing to hide” when it was alleged that he was having an extra-marital affair with Matthieu Gallet, the head of Radio France.

For the past decade Macron has been married to Brigitte Trogneux, who is 20 years his senior and his former schoolteacher.

“I hear people saying that I have a secret life or something,” he said. “It’s not nice for Brigitte. Because I share all my days and nights with her, she asks me how I manage it.

‘If they say I have a double life with Mathieu Gallet, it must be my hologram, but it can’t be me.’
