Lady Gaga to Perform at Super Bowl 2017, Say Sources

According to sources close to Billboard, Lady Gaga is going to perform at one of the biggest shows around,  at the Super Bowl half time show in 2017.

These same sources are saying that Lady Gaga is currently in talks for the Super Bowl 2017 half time show, which is scheduled for Feb. 5, 2017 at NRG Stadium in Houston. Apparently, part of the NFL’s eagerness to have Gaga perform was her rendition of the National Anthem at the Super Bowl this year.

An NFL rep spoke to Billboard, saying: “We have had conversations with several fantastic artists about the Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show. However, at this point we do not have a final decision. We’re happy there is so much excitement about the show.”

Gaga is on a bit of a roll as of late, with several high profile appearances under her belt. She performed at the Academy Awards in 2015, and sang at a David Bowie tribue this year, as well as winning a Golden Globe for her role in American Horror Story season 5.

At the moment, there has been no comment from Gaga or her reps about this rumour. What are your thoughts on Gaga performing in the half time show? This year, we saw Coldplay, Beyonce and Bruno Mars in the legendary half time slot, which was met with mixed reviews.

Gaga would be a great choice for the Super Bowl next year, the singer has shown that she knows how to put on a spectacle, which is exactly what Super Bowl viewers would be hankering for.
