Tom Daley & Dan Goodfellow Net Bronze Medal at Rio Olympics

Tom Daley is a bit of a fan favourite around these parts, so you’ll probably be pleased to know that he has netted himself a medal at the ongoing Rio Olympics.

Tom and fellow athlete Dan Goodfellow netted the Bronze for Great Britain in the men’s synchronised 10m platform dives, with a total score of 444.45 points. The gold was taken by China’s Aisen Chen and Yue Lin, with the silver being awarded to the USA’s David Boudia and Steele Johnson.

This is quite the achievement for Tom and Dan, as you may recall that he came fourth in the synchro event at the Summer Olympics 2012, and also won himself a bronze medal for the 10-meter platform event.

We will be seeing Tom again this Olympic games, as he will be competing in the semi-finals and final of the men’s 10m platform event, with the hope of topping his previous bronze medal result.

Naturally, we still have a lot of competitions to go, but check out how the countries’ medals are stacking up so far below. You can check out the full list of results here. Have you followed us on Facebook and Twitter?
