Trump White House Removes LGBT Webpage

At noon yesterday, not only was Donald Trump sworn in as America’s 45th president, but the White House LGBT website was immediately taken down as well. The moment Trump took office, several pages on the White House website completely disappeared, including the LGBT page that listed all of recent advancements in the realm of tolerance and acceptance.

It is as though the official White House LGBT page never existed; it’s simply gone and replaced with a picture of Trump and Pence suggesting that you sign up for updates from the President. You can check out the blank space here: WhiteHouse.gov/LGBT. Also, GLAAD noted that when typing in LGBT into the White House search bar, suddenly no results appear.

Unfortunately, the LGBT page isn’t the only one missing. The webpage for civil rights was replaced with a page entitled “Standing Up For Our Law Enforcement Community.” Also, the webpage for climate change has been removed and now Trump’s America First’ Energy Plan is in its place.

We hope Trump will eventually put up an LGBT page that respects the community, but we’re not holding our breathe.
