TV’s Highest Paid Actor is Gay – As Are Many Others

Variety conducted a survey of the top talent within the television space and their earnings per episode to provide us with a comprehensive list of the highest paid actors in TV.

The highest paid actor is none other than Jim Parsons from the Big Bang Theory, who is raking in an impressive $1 million per episode. However, Jim is not the only gay person raking in the big bucks in the world of television.

We also see Jesse Tyler Ferguson of Modern Family making a rather hefty $250,000 per episode, and fan favourite Ellen DeGeneres is not exactly living on a shoestring budget with a very nice $20 million per year.

Also, Anderson Cooper takes home roughly $9-11 million a year from CNN, and Andy Cohen gets $4-5 million a year for Watch What Happens Live.

Variety’s survey was conducted on conducted a wide variety of actors, executives, attorneys, agents, managers, and others in order to get a picture of the earning power at all levels in primetime, late-night, daytime, and news. One thing to keep in mind is that this survey is based upon research into paydays in the most current seasons of a specific series, and doesn’t count things such as any licensing deals or merchandising.
