Bill Cosby Charged With Sexual Assault Of Lesbian In 2004

TV legend Bill Cosby has been charged with drugging and sexually assaulting a woman back in 2004.

Lesbian woman Andrea Constand, a Former Temple University employee, has accused the comedian of plying her with alcohol and drugs before assaulting her in his home as she drifted in and out of consciousness.

You might be wondering why this is only coming up now. Constand had actually contacted law enforcement a year after the incident, but charges weren’t filed at the time. Andrea then sued Cosby, resulting in the case being settled out of court in 2006. But, the lawsuit has been unsealed this year at the request of the Associated Press.

Cosby did give a desposition in the lawsuit and admitted to touching Andrea while she was semi-conscious: “I don’t hear her say anything. And I don’t feel her say anything. And so I continue and I go into the area that is somewhere between permission and rejection. I am not stopped.”

What makes this all the more interesting, is that the case was re-opened just days before the 12 year 12-year statute of limitations would have been reached and comes when Cosby is facing allegations from dozens of  women.

Temple University director Judd Apatow said via Twitter: “Bill Cosby has spent his life attempting to silence the women he has assaulted with threats, lawsuits and money. Hopefully now many of these women will get to tell their stories in a court of law and the people who supported him will get deposed.”
