That loveable Bridget Jones character is back for the franchise’s third film, Bridget Jones’ Baby.
Donning her British accent once again, Renee Zellweger takes on the title role she made famous after the first two films, Bridget Jones’ Diary (2001) and Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason (2004), were massive hits.
The new movie shows Bridget now in her 40s and single, without the dream husband and family she had always wanted. To make matters worse, she ends up pregnant but is unclear as to who the father is. It’s a toss-up between her ex-boyfriend, Mark Darcy, played by Colin Firth, and her new boyfriend, Jack Qwant, played by newcomer Patrick Dempsey.
But Patrick Demsey isn’t the only new cast member in the film. Emma Thompson does an amazing job playing Bridget’s OBGYN.
The film is slated for a September 16th release in the US and in the UK, and in the meantime, you can watch the full trailer for Bridget Jones’ Baby.
