Burberry turns rainbow in support of LGBT+ youth

Fashion house Burberry has reimagined its classic tartan check in rainbow stripes in support of LGBT+ youth.

The rainbow check will feature prominently at next week’s London Fashion Week, which will also mark the final collection of Burberry’s president and chief creative officer Christopher Bailey who is standing down after 17 years at the iconic fashion house.

“My final collection here at Burberry is dedicated to – and in support of – some of the best and brightest organisations supporting LGBT+ youth around the world,” he said.

“There has never been a more important time to say that in our diversity lies our strength, and our creativity.”

Burberry will also be making donations to three gay charities- the Albert Kennedy Trust, the Trevor Project and ILGA.
