Carol Sweeps Gay and Lesbian Entertainment Critics Awards

Carol already has a pretty stuffed trophy cabinet, but yet more awards are being thrown at the successful film starring Cate Blanchett.

Carol won big once again, this time at the Gay and Lesbian Entertainment Critics Association awards (AKA the Dorians) taking five of these prestigious awards home.

LGBTQ film of the year: Carol

Timeless award: Jane Fonda

While it’s great that Carol has rightfully won so many awards, it’s also nice to see Leonardo DiCaprio winning for his fantastic turn in The Revenant. Here’s hoping that 2016 is the year where he finally gets an Oscar. I imagine Carol will, as well.

The Oscars are taking place on February 28, so it’s not long till we find out.
