Some of the people entering into this year’s Celebrity Big Brother, and one of them includes homophobic UKIP candidate Winston McKenzie.
Anyone who keeps their ear to the ground when it comes to UKIP’s antics will be familiar with McKenzie, as he has previously said that same-sex child adoption is “child abuse” and expressed dismay that Kellie Maloney is transgender.
You may remember that he was reportedly sacked by the party a few months ago, but Croydon Council confirmed just this week that McKenzie is once again UKIP’s PPC in the seat of Croydon North.
As well as information on the confirmed housemates for Celebrity Big Brother, some details on how much each person is being paid has also come out. According to the leaked fees, McKenzie is receiving £60,000 for his appearance; a measly 10% of the fee being given to David Gest.
David, a producer who used to be married to Liza Minnelli, is reportedly receiving £600,000.
Do keep in mind, however, that these payment amounts have not been confirmed or denied by CBB producers.
These newly announced Celebrity housemates will be joining former Eastenders star John Partridge, who we interviewed in issue 12 of Pride Life magazine. As well as him, there are also fellow ex-Eastender Daniella Westbrook, X-Factor finallist Christopher Maloney, model Angie Bowie, and a host of other soap and reality TV stars confirmed.
