Tickets for the annual Sydney Mardi Gras Party in March have sold out after Cher teased on Twitter that she might be headlining the event.
Following weeks of speculation, the 71-year-old singer tweeted “OK… you boys know where I’m going to be in March.”
Just three hours after she tweeted, the remaining 600 tickets had all sold out.
Earlier in December she had tweeted: “Where am I going to be in March?”
The news remains to be confirmed with the organisers of the event, which runs from mid-February to early March, only promising attendees ”exciting announcements coming soon” and an INCREDIBLE NIGHT!”
This will be the 40th Sydney Mardi Gras.
Previous headliners have included Kylie Minogue, George Michael, Olivia Newton-John and Cyndi Lauper.
