Chloe Moretz & Sasha Lane to Star in Gay Conversion Drama

Both Chloe Moretz and Sasha Lane are going to be starring in the upcoming gay conversion drama The Miseducation of Cameron Post.

As the title might suggest, The Miseducation of Cameron post is set in 1993 and tells the tale of a girl forced to undergo conversion therapy when she is caught with the prom queen.

This film will be based on the novel by Emily Danfort and will be directed by Desiree Akhavan. In the film Cameron, who will played by Moretz, is taken in by her ultra conservative aunt. Sasha Lane on the other hand, will play a friend of Cameron’s at the conversion therapy centre.

The Miseducation of Cameron Post will also star John Gallagher Jr. (Short Term 12), Forrest Goodluck (The Revenant) and Jennifer Ehle (A Quiet Passion). While this film has been dubbed as a drama with comedic elements, this will be a timely and hard hitting film when it releases.

The topic of conversation therapy and how it’s still legal in several states in the US, as well as various other countries across the globe. It will also be particularly poignant given that upcoming Vice President Mike Pence has shown support for conversion therapy.
