Gay movie nominated for four Oscars

Call Me by Your Name, the acclaimed gay tale of a gay romance set in the Italian countryside, has been nominated for four Oscars.

The film tells of the love affair between 17-year-old Emilio and his father’s research assistant, the older Oliver.

The film has been nominated for Best Picture.

Timothée Chalamet, who plays Elio, has been nominated for an Oscar as Best Actor in a Leading Role.

The movie’s title song Mystery of Love has been nominated for Best Original Song, and the film has also been nominated as the Best Adapted Screenplay.

The Oscar Results will be announced on 4 March.
