Henry Badenhorst, who founded ground-breaking gay dating site Gaydar, has died in South Africa.
Badenhorst, who was 51, died after falling from the 23rd floor of a tower block in Johannesburg.
With his partner Gary Frich, he founded the dating site in 1999.
Current director of Gaydar, Rob Curtis, said: “Eighteen years ago, Henry and his partner Gary revolutionised the way that gay men meet, and in doing so created a safer environment for LGBT people everywhere.”
Badenhorst’s death comes a decade after his partner Frich also fell to his own death from a tower block in London.
