You’ve undoubtedly seen the heartbreaking photo of a young boy in tears because is afraid of being gay. If not, take a moment to take a look at it, here.
Well, after a little bit of a rollercoaster where the image was removed from Facebook, apparently due to a technical fault, then quickly restored, the one and only Hillary Clinton has thrown in her support for this young man.
As you can see, the caption on the photo reads: “I’m homosexual and I’m afraid about what my future will be and that people won’t like me”. This statement, coupled with the genuine look of sadness on the boy’s face, has resulted in an outpouring of support from thousands of people across the world.
Hillary wasn’t the only high profile figure to throw her hat into the ring, we also had Ellen DeGeneres showing support with this statement: “Not only will people like you, they’ll love you. I just heard of you and I love you already.”
Hillary’s statement, which seems like it actually came from her and not one of her staff, reads as such: “Prediction from a grown-up: Your future is going to be amazing. You will surprise yourself with what you’re capable of and the incredible things you go on to do. Find the people who love and believe in you – there will be lots of them.”

The massive show of support for him is truly heartwarming, and so is the massive show of support. It just goes to show that the SCOTUS ruling the other week really does reflect the hearts of countless people, and also shows just how far we have come for LGBT rights. We still have lots of work to do, and our fight isn’t over, but still the progress shines through.
