Israeli minister say that being gay is “unnatural”

Israel’s Minister of Education, Rafael Peretz has said that homosexuality is “unnatural” and that he thanks God than none of his children is gay.

When asked by newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth how he would feel if one of children were gay, he responded: “Thank God, my children grew up in a natural and healthy way. They are building their homes on the basis of Jewish values…

“In the religious public that lives according to the Torah a normal family is a man and a woman. We don’t need to be ashamed to live in this natural way.”

This is not the first time Peretz had made anti-LGBT+ comments. Last year he said that he was in favour of conversion therapy although he later took back those comments.
