Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Schumer haven’t even known each other that long, but they’re already working on a script together that they are both planning on starring in.
Naturally, the script is still in it’s infancy, so we don’t know very much about it. However, Jennifer touched on it briefly while speaking about The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 with the New York Times: “…we play sisters. We’re almost done writing. It just flowed out of us. We’ve got about 100 pages right now.”
So how do these two know each other? They met when Jennifer got in touch with Amy after seeing Trainwreck, and the pair rapidly became friends. Jennifer went on to say: “Amy and I were creatively made for each other. We have different flavours. It’s been the most fun experience of my life. We start the day off on the phone, laughing. And then we send each other pages. And we crack up. I’m flying out tomorrow to see her in Chicago. We’ll write a little bit with her sister, Kim, who worked with Amy when she was writing Trainwreck.”
I can’t see the pair struggling to get this made, I can imagine that just the thought of these two having worked on it together will be enough to get studio executives lining up outside their door.
