Jesuit Priest to Speak About Welcoming LGBT Catholics to Parishes

Fr. James Martin, Jesuit priest, theologian, and author, will be speaking in Atlanta in October. Specifically, Martin will be talking to audiences about “Building a Bridge: Showing Welcome and Respect in our Parishes to LGBT Catholics.” He most recently spoke in Dublin, Ireland at the Vatican’s World Meeting of Families regarding the challenges in Catholic parishes to welcome and respect LGBT parishioners and their families. He is editor-at-large at America Magazine, and best-selling author of “Jesus: A Pilgrimage,” “Seven Last Words,” “The Abbey” and “The Jesuit Guide to (Almost) Everything.” Martin will be at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 636 W.
