Justin Timberlake and his wife Jessica Biel are going to be getting an award honouring their work with the LGBT community.
The couple, who have been married since 2012, will be receiving the prestigious Inspiration Award at GLSEN’s (Gay, Lesbian and Straight Eduction Network) annual Respect Awards. They have been awarded for serving “exemplary roles” and for making a “significant impact on the lives of LGBT youth”.
For those wondering, the award ceremony will be at the Four Seasons Beverley Wiltshire Hotel in LA, on October 23.
GLSEN Executive Director, Dr. Eliza Byard had this to say regarding the award: “We are thrilled to announce the honourees for the 2015 GLSEN Respect Awards — Los Angeles, two vocal and committed allies to the LGBT community who are also devoted to charitable works that improve the lives of youth. Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake have consistently been visible and committed allies.”
Justin and Jessica will be joining previous honourees Julia Roberts and her husband Danny Moder, NBC Chairman Bob Greenblatt, Dreamworks CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg and his wife Marilyn, Big Bang Theory star Jim Parsons and his partner Todd Spiewak.
