Children’s fashion company, Mitz Apparel & Accessories, launched in 2014 selling their unique and trendy mitten clips, boot straps and lunch bags. This month, they are taking on a new venture by introducing a kids’ line of gender-equal apparel.
The fun new clothing line “defies the standard of gender color or kids theme that are normally off limits for boys or girls.” And the clothing pieces will only be listed by size, rather than gender.
The clothing line is the brain child of co-owner, Amandine Liepmann, who “saw a need to fill a gap in the kids’ fashion world.”
Liepmann felt the consumer drive for gender neutral kids designs when she went searching for comfortable gender-equal clothing for her own daughter but kept coming across only very gender specific designs. “There was either blue shirts with trucks or dinosaurs in very masculine items, no dress with dinosaurs or trucks.”
The new clothing line will feature cool patterns such as construction trucks, fun baking designs and pink steam trains designed for both boys and girls that are both masculine and feminine. The patterns will be available in unisex leggings, skull cap hats, dresses, onesies, shirts and more.
Mitz Apparel & Accessories is launching their Kickstarter campaign this Monday, April 18th to raise funds to bring this new children’s fashion forward clothing line to market.
