At Pride Live’s Stonewall Day Concert, Lady Gaga was there to share words of love, encouragement, and support for the LGBT community. The concert was held in commemoration of the Stonewall Riots that took place 50 years ago with appearances by Valerie Jarrett, Cyndi Lauper, Chelsea Clinton, Alicia Keys, and many more. The loudest and most heartfelt support for the LGBT cause came from Lady Gaga, who said “This community has fought and continues to fight a war of acceptance, a war of tolerance and the most relentless bravery.” She gave enormous thanks for the support the community has shown her over the years, and continued to laud praise and support on the people in attendance and to those around the world celebrating the anniversary of the historic event at Stonewall Inn. She also reinforced the notion that, though there has been incredible progress, there is still a long way to go in the fight for equality and tolerance.
