Madonna’s Rebel Heart Tour Kicks Off In Suitably Wild Style
Madonna is not exactly known for being shy, and her Rebel Heart tour has kicked off in suitably wild fashion.
All kinds of themes were present in the show, with several costume changes ranging from Joan of Arc/Samurai, Rockabilly meets Tokyo, Latin/Gipsy and Party. The show began with her descending in a cage made of spears, and that flamboyance showed throughout.
This is Madonna, after all, so part of the show was – shall we say – a bit raunchy, as she performed her track Holy Water. But, it wasn’t all that, her show hopped from raunchy to weird with barely a blink of an eye. For example, at one point in the show was joined on the stage by a 20 strong group of dancers dressed as samurai warriors.
The Montreal show was praised by fans, with some calling it her “best performances ever”.
It amazes me how after 30 years Madonna still manages to sell out arenas and put on some of the best shows. She’s truly the queen of touring
