Michelle Visage Slams “Bull****” Decision To Ban Drag Performers From Free Pride Glasgow

Michelle Visage, who is a judge for RuPaul’s Drag Race, has spoken out against the recent decision to ban drag queen performers from Free Pride Glasgow. For our full article, check it out here.

If you don’t want to read the full article, a brief overview is that Free Pride Glasgow has banned drag queen performers from their event, in case it is “offensive” to trans people. Free Pride Glasgow’s original statement reads: “This does not mean that people of any gender can’t wear what they want to the event, we simply won’t be having any self-described drag acts perform at our Free Pride Event on the 22nd August.

We hope people can understand and support our decision. The decision was taken by transgender individuals who were uncomfortable with having drag performances at the event. It was felt that it would make some of those who were transgender or questioning their gender uncomfortable.”

And, well, this did not go down well with Michelle, who made several rather angry tweets about it.
