Mike Pence, Trump’s Vice President-Elect, was greeted by his new neighbors in his temporary house in Washington, DC. But instead of cookies or baked goods greeting the incoming VP, instead a series of gray pride flags welcomed him home.
Apparently several homes on the block where Pence is now staying have hung these gay pride flags, likely in protest of the incoming VP’s stance on LGBT issues. Before joining the Trump ticket and being elected the next VP, we all know that Pence supported discriminatory state legislation as the governor of Indiana.
One neighbor was quoted as saying: “I think he’s a man who could use a little reminder about American values”
Here are some photos of Pence’s new neighbors and their support for LGBT rights:
Mr. Pence, we hope you listen to your neighbors!
