Stein Erik Hagen, one of Norway’s richest men, came out as bisexual on a chat show watched by 3 million viewers.
Stein has amassed a fortune which is estimated to be over $4 billion, from the RIMI budget supermarket he and his father founded in 1977.
The billionaire made an appearance on the Skavaln show, which is one of Norway’s biggest chat shows. He then admitted to the 3 million viewers watching that he was gay and come to understand his sexuality later on in his life.
Stein said to the chat show host: “I realised I was gay well into adulthood. When I was in my 20s we didn’t know what it was. We heard about it but did not associate ourselves with it.”
Stein then later clarified to the VG newspaper that he identifies as bisexual, not gay, and then said that his ex-wives and children had known about his sexuality for years.
