Pittsburgh Police Department Shows Support for Pride Month With Rainbow Decals

This past Tuesday, Pittsburgh Police Department unveiled a police cruiser with a LGBTQ rainbow swept across its entire body. Pittsburgh Police Chief of Staff Eric Holmes, who is also the department’s LGBTQ liaison, explained that the police department staff donated the full cost of the rainbow decal in support of Pride Month and it will remain there until the end of June. “This is part of our commitment to being an inclusive police department,” Police Chief Scott Schubert said to the Gazette. “As far as our philosophy of community policing, this is about building bridges and being there for everyone.”
