Drinks manufacturer Smirnoff is to support the second annual Winter Pride UK Arts Awards to be held in London's Tobacco Dock this November.
Winter Pride UK is open to all artists and performers regardless of their sexuality, and is a celebration of creativity in the visual and performing arts.
Jamie Young, the Smirnoff Brand Manager, said, "We have supported the LGBT community for many years and are very proud to be partnering the second Winter Pride UK. We have a huge passion with our relationships within the community and with such a pivotal event like this there is no better way for us to show our support."
Simon Tarrant, the Director of the Winter Pride UK Arts Awards added, "Our theme this year #Artis… is targeted at artists and performers who want to make a difference. The Awards are open to all artists and performers regardless of their sexuality and we are challenging them to tell us what they think Art Is — to express themselves and create pieces that are adventurous, playful and provocative".
A number of disciplines are included in both the Visual and Performance Arts categories and two overall winners will each receive prize money of £1,000.
The Awards will be followed by a Frost Festival official after party from 9pm until 4am, featuring the very best of the capital's LGBT club nights, including the return of the legendary Ghetto club.
The Winter Pride UK Arts Awards and the Frost Festival are on Saturday 15 November 2014 at Tobacco Dock in East London.
