Take That to make “surprise” appearance at Manchester Pride

Manchester Pride has confirmed that Take That – Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen – will be making a “surprise” appearance at Manchester Pride this weekend.

The boys will be introducing Five to Five, the stars of their new musical The Band.

Mark Fletcher, the Chair of Manchester Pride, told the Manchester Evening News: “We’re thrilled to confirm that this year’s worst kept secret about The Big Weekend is true.

“One of the UK’s biggest and most loved boybands will indeed be gracing the Thomas Cook Airlines USA Stage on Monday.

“They will be introducing the stars of their new musical The Band. It’ll be brilliant to see the boys back in the city where it all began for them.”

Take That were formed in Manchester in 1990 and are one of the UK’s most successful pop acts.

Manchester Pride runs over the August Bank Holiday Weekend, from Friday 25 August to Monday 28 August.
