Netflix has confirmed that they will be airing a 10-epsiode revival of Armistead Maupin’s iconic Tales of the City series of novels.
The original nine books, which were published between 1978 and 2014, followed the lives of a group of LGBT and straight friends living in San Francisco.
The books were subsequently made into three successful TV miniseries.
The new series will see Olympia Dukakis reprise her role as Anna Madrigal from the original series, and Laura Linney will also return as Mary Ann Singleton, coming back to San Francisco after 20 years.
The new Tales of the City will be available for streaming in 2019.
