Taryn Manning of Orange is the New Black Cleared of Assault Charges

As you may know, Taryn Manning of Orange is the New Black, has been involved in a legal case against Holly Hartman.

Now the news has surfaced that the case was dismissed Tuesday afternoon, because Hartman failed to show up for the court hearing.

It may not be over, though, according to a statement from Hartman’s lawyers: “The domestic violence restraining order filed by Ms. Hartman has been dismissed. We are preparing to file a new, more compressive, petition later this week.”

If you missed the start of this case, Manning was accused last month of being involved in a physical confrontation with her makeup artist, who apparently has had fights with Manning in the past. E! News managed to get their hands on some court documents, and apparently Hartman filed a restraining order against the OITNB actress for multiple alleged fights.

Naturally, Manning’s legal team have been denying the allegations from the start.

When speaking to E!, they said: “The court has already denied the request by Ms. Hartman for a temporary restraining order. The application for the order is suspect because Ms. Manning has had no contact with Ms. Hartman in many months due to Ms. Hartman’s actions against Ms. Manning which are currently under criminal investigation in multiple jurisdictions.”

“These investigations have long predated these entirely fabricated allegations…It is clear that Ms. Hartman’s camp has leaked these allegations which were not available publicly to elevate her own position and obscure her own wrong doing.”

Manning herself even posted a few cryptic messages on Twitter, around the time that the allegations first came up.
