Taking place on Friday at 9PM is LipSinkers, an event that happens on the first Friday of the month.

“Show & Afterparty. Always on the 1st Friday of the month and always a different show. Behold a panda egg, hatching forth a Lirpa Loof, feasting on spaghetti trees, drinking from the well of hair as penguins flock above. The LipSinkers 1st of April Special in aid of The Arm the Homeless Coalition.

If you’re a gamer like myself, you’ll be pleased to hear that there is a ten day event called London Games Festival, taking place from 1st April to the 10th.

“For ten days this spring, London will celebrate the art, culture and business of video games. The first ever London Games Festival will bring 15 big events to ten famous London locations, from Southbank to Tobacco Dock. There’ll also be a Festival Fringe featuring lots of quirky smaller events.

The fun kicks off with Now Play This, three days of talks, workshops and an exhibition about games in all their forms at Somerset House (1-3 April). The festival is part of Games London. It’s a new initiative to support, grow and promote gaming in London, supported by the Mayor of London.”

As the blurb mentions, there are various different locations for this, so get more info here if you’re interested.

If you’re a fan of whiskey, there’s also something for you this weekend with the London Whiskey Weekender.

“The London Whisky Weekender returns to the heart of old industrial London for its 3rd year and after the roaring success in 2014 and 2015, we are set to repeat and better ourselves.

MORE whisky to taste, MORE food to eat and MORE fun to be had, this should be THE whisky event of the year in London.”

If you’re a whisky connoisseur or looking to discover new and tasty whisky, then look no further!

This event is on Friday to Sunday and ticket prices vary depending on the day of your choice. They range from £35-£40, so get more info here.

Next up is the Crafty Fox Spring Market in Peckham. This not only has unique, hand crafted items for sale from over 100 designers, there are also various workshops on offer which will teach you how to make various things yourself.

“Meet over 100 talented designer/makers and artists at the iconic Bussey Building in Peckham. Each day has a different line-up of traders taking part as well as hands-on workshops, DJs and a full bar.”

This is taking place on Saturday and Sunday from 5pm,with free entry but a £5 fee for workshops.

This event is in the CLF Art Café in the Bussey Building, so check out their site for more details.

Next up is something just a little bit unusual, as it is the Doggie Cinema. Yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like.

“Oscar & Rupert are delighted to be hosting this event where your four-legged friend can chow down on pooch popcorn, wooftastic doggy ice cream, all washed down with organic-doggy tea. Whilst your pup feasts on treats you can sit back, relax and enjoy some of the most well loved movies. Passionate about good film, we will only be showing creative, innovative or classic movies. Also, let us take care of your dog when nature calls so you can keep your eyes peeled to the screen.”

This is on Sunday at the Wringler & Mangle, near London fields station. Tickets are £15, so get them here.

Sadly there are no gigs of note this week, so that’s me done! Have a good one, whatever you do.
