Things To Do In London This Weekend | Oct 23-25

Looking for something to do this weekend? This is your definitive guide which will come every week, telling you what’s happening this weekend. As you know, this can range from one off events, long running events, or just cool places or good clubs to visit.

This weekend is one of the biggest for anyone into their comics, movies, anime or games, as London Comic Con has once again come around the corner. Weekend tickets, as well as tickets for Saturday, are completely sold out. However, there are tickets available for Friday or Sunday here.

I did a rather large article about Comic Con, here, so if you want more info on the event, then look no further.

We also have something for the bargain hunters out there, with Joseph Sample Sale. This is only taking place on Friday, at the Music Room, but it offers up to 80% off the brand’s main line. Get more info at the event website, here.

For a bit of nightlife, we have the Brixton club Phonox, which hosts weekly nights at its club every Friday. Tickets are £5 in advance, here, or £10 on the door. This week, they have DJ Sneak laying down the tunes. They also have Jasper James in on Saturday, so check out their event page here.

If you fancy a bit of an early Halloween celebration, there’s the Day of the Dead party at the George Tavern on Commercial Road. This event is pretty cheap at £5, and is taking place on Saturday from 7pm.

They describe the event as having “surprise performances, street food in the garden, mad dancing on the stage until late and plenty more besides. Forza Win will be serving Flock & Herd burgers and breaded mozzarella sandwiches with pickled fennel, salsa verde may and fontal cheese, plus rosemary fries on the side.”

They also advise to turn up as someone (or something dead). If you want to know exactly where it is go here and get more info on the event (and tickets) go here.

To liven up your Saturday night, we have Saturday Sessions at Ministry of Sound taking place at their club on Gaunt Street.

“Heading up The Box, S-Man, aka Roger Sanchez, started out playing Hip-Hop and Breaks in New York before developing his own original House sound. Under a variety of aliases, Sanchez has dropped hit records such as ‘Luv Dancin’’, ‘Release Yo’Self’ and ‘The Deep’.”

Tickets are a bit limited, as they are on their third release, but you can get them for £22, here.

Let’s finish as we always do, with the metal gigs and alternative club nights that are happening this weekend.

We have two opposite spectrums of the metal spectrum playing this weekend, beginning with Cradle of Filth on Friday at the KOKO in Camden. Tickets are available for £22.50, here.

On the other side of the coin, we have Delain playing at the O2 Academy Islington. Sadly, tickets have sold out, so you’ll have to get lucky and get a last minute deal to attend.

We also have two nights taking place the Underworld in Camden, with the Blackout Club on Friday and the Camden Rocks Club On Saturday. The Blackout Club once again has cheap drinks at £2.50, with a range of music being played.  Get more info, here.

The Camden Rocks Club is, as you may guess, more geared towards rock n’ roll, but you can still get yourself a good night (and some cheap drinks). Get more info here.

As always, have a great weekend! Have you followed us on Facebook and Twitter?
