Top 25 LGBT-Friendly Universities & Colleges

Picking which university or college to go to is always a tough choice, especially when most students only have a few options because of the courses available, and their location. That decision can be even tougher when you are LGBTQ+.

The Campus Pride Index has been there for a long time, making people’s decisions easier by providing them with information on the various institutes in both academic strength and safety for LGBTQ+ people.

This year, they have released a comprehensive Top 25 list of schools, with an emphasis on transgender people. Shane Windmeyer, who is the creator of Campus Pride Index had this to say: “As time goes on, the needs of LGBTQ college and university students change. Therefore, we have updated our Campus Pride Index assessment to reflect that, with higher standards for campuses and a higher focus on trans and gender nonconforming students.”
