Trump Meets With Anti-LGBT Extremists

Trump claims that he is an LGBT ally. However, on Thursday, Trump was the main speaker at an event sponsored by the American Renewal Project (ARP), in Orlando no less. For those of you not familiar with the ARP, the most important thing you need to know is that the founder, David Lane, who organized the meeting said he planned to ask the GOP candidate how he would fight “homosexual totalitarianism” and gay rights “militants”.

DNC Chairwoman Donna Brazile and DNC LGBT Caucus Chairman Earl Fowlkes issued a statement stating that the ARP “likened gay people to Nazis and characterized HIV/AIDS as divine ‘penalties’ for being gay.” At the event, Trump met with a myriad of anti-gay pastors who think homosexuals are the cause of many of the world’s ills.

Of course, with Trump’s campaign hurting so much at the moment, he must feel an obligation to pander to the evangelical conservative vote. However, attending events like these is truly unforgivable. The DNC’s statement agreed by stating that: “Instead of honoring the memory of those we lost at Pulse two months ago, Donald Trump and Marco Rubio have come to Orlando to headline a gathering of some of the nation’s most incendiary anti-gay bigots.” We couldn’t have said it better ourselves.

Their statement continues: “We suggest Trump and Rubio disavow these anti-gay extremists. … Failing to do so will be yet another example of the utter lack of judgment that makes Trump unfit to serve.”

We can’t believe that Trump thinks that this is how he will make America great again…yuck!
