Well, this year is looking like a good year for TV as not only do we have the return of several long running shows, we also have the long awaited return of David Lynch’s classic Twin Peaks.
Knowing David Lynch, I’m sure he’d all like to surprise us nearer the time with the show’s return, but we do know that the long awaited return will be happening in the US on May 21.
For those of you in the United States, it will be the one and only Showtime who will be broadcasting Twin Peaks, and they will be airing the two-hour long premiere before making the third and fourth episodes available online via their streaming services.
Before those of you in the UK let out a frustrated groan at having to wait ages for the episodes, Sky Atlantic will be broadcasting them which should mean we will have to wait maybe a day or two to get our fill of the Peaks.
As we discussed previously, Lynch is at the helm for director and Mark Frost is once again in the writer’s chair. The show will have a huge cast of 217 actors, some of which will be familiar faces and others not.
Among (many) others, Naomi Watts, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Amanda Seyfried, Ashley Judd, Tim Roth, Monica Bellucci, Michael Cera, Jim Belushi, Josh McDermitt, Francesca Eastwood, John Billingsley and Ernie Hudson. We also know that Kyle MacLachlan (naturally), Sherilyn Fenn and Ray Wise will be in the cast.
