Vice President Pence Speaks At Anti-LGBT Group Summit

Vice President Mike Pence spoke at the annual voters summit of the Family Research Council. He is the first sitting Vice President to do so, but follows in President Donald Trumps footsteps, whom has spoken at the summit for the last few years. The Southern Poverty Law Center labeled the Family Research Council an anti-LGBT hate group, making his appearance at their annual summit show nothing but support. Although he did not speak directly to anti-LGBT efforts, his Conservative agenda was clear. Pence was reported saying, “While Republicans have been delivering on a common-sense conservative agenda since 2016 — in case you didn’t notice —Democrats have fallen further to the left than ever before.” His speech was an attempt to reach out again to the Republican Party’s Evangelical Christian supporters before midterm elections in November by way of the anti-LGBT hate group.
