At London Pride on Saturday, a lot was happening at our stall. People were getting their faces painted, getting their photos taken, and picking up some free goodies. (Feel free to check out our pictures here and here, and our video montage here.)
What people were also doing, was donating to One Orlando, a charity dedicated to the victims of the Pulse tragedy and their families. On the day, people were donating very generously, and we were astounded at the amount we collected for the charity.
Now, we just got back the final count of the amount raised, and it is a staggering £1706 or $2300!
Just wow, London Pride! This is an absolulely fantastic result, and it’s all thanks to your generosity! There will undoubtedly be official statements, as well as news of delivery of this huge donation from the LGBTQ+ community in London at a later date, so keep your eyes peeled.
Once again, we can only express our gratitude, as well as the gratitude of the families, who your generosity will go towards. You’re awesome, London Pride! Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter for more updates.
