You may not have heard of Todrick Hall, but many have, his Youtube channel is one of the more popular ones at over 1.7 million subscribers.
Todrick’s videos are mostly fun, creative and well produced music videos, and they have even landed him a spot on MTV. Todrick’s show focuses on how he creates his videos on almost no budget.
Recently, he spoke with GLAAD about how he hopes his hard work, diligence and success will inspire children in African-American and LGBT communities.
“Now, I’ve devoted my life to making sure that I can be a trailblazer for any other African-American kids or any other gay kids that just feel weird or uncomfortable and have their own issues and don’t know how to express themselves. I want to be like a beacon for those kids now that they can look up and say, ‘Well, Todrick did this even though it was difficult. He got his own TV show.’”
“And, the show is not about drama, we’re not drinking, we’re not sleeping with each other’s friends or pulling out each other’s weave. We are people who are talented, who have moved to L.A. to live the American dream and try to make our dreams come true, and we work very hard every week to do it, and I think that is a show worth watching and that people should be supporting.”
